The Kia EV6 is without a doubt one of the most beautiful electric cars available today. It’s a great product from this South Korean company that has one of the fastest DC fast charging rates in the industry, a spacious, well-built interior, and sleek styling. On Wednesday, the price of the 2023 model was announced, and the price of the new base trim has only increased by a small amount.

The dreaded destination fees of $1,295 are included in the price of the 2023 Kia EV6 hatchback, which is an increase of $1,000 over the previous model year.A Wind grade with rear-wheel drive, 225 horsepower, and an EPA-estimated 310-mile range are available for that not-insignificant cost.Since the Light RWD model will be discontinued in 2023, this is now the base trim.As a result, the new entry-level EV6 has a good, if not great, performance and a lot of attractive features, like power outlets inside and outside, a premium sound system, an electrically operated liftgate, and even ventilated front seats.
The most affordable EV6 is now $7,100 more expensive than the entry-level Light RWD model from last year because of this trim-level change. The rising cost of electric vehicles may become a significant issue in the coming years.

The highly anticipated high-performance model, the Kia EV6 GT, sits at the end of the model lineup. When you consider the performance this all-electric hatchback offers, the starting price for this trim, which includes delivery, is $62,695.The GT model has a powerful 576 horsepower and 545 pound-feet of torque thanks to a dual-motor powertrain. With just 3.4 seconds to go from 0 to 60, all that sugar and spice is good. This model should be able to travel just 206 miles between charges, which is not a very impressive number.

Naturally, the GT trim is the model with a focus on speed. It also has upgraded brakes, 21-inch wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires that grip well, and an electronically controlled suspension system. In addition, you get lightweight sport seats and unique interior trim, as well as a limited-slip rear differential for improved handling.
The fact that the optional tech package, previously only available on Wind models with all-wheel drive, is now also available on Wind models with rear-wheel drive is a change that drivers are sure to appreciate.A 360-degree camera system, blind spot monitoring, collision-avoidance assistance while reversing, and other perks are included.
All purchasers will receive 1,000 kilowatt-hours of complimentary public charging from Electrify America to offset the EV6’s modest price increase.

This Kia can DC fast charge at a maximum rate of approximately 235 kilowatts during EV Pulse testing, which is excellent. This crossover can go from a 10% state of charge to 80% in just 18 minutes when connected to a 350-kW Electrify America charger.
These motors produce 320 horsepower when combined.

Wind RWD – 225 hp – 310 miles of range – $49,795

Wind AWD – 320 hp – 282 miles of range – $53,695
